Your commentary explains why NONE of my gospel industry or even church goers are talking about this on social media. They were just not interested. Some younger creatives think it’s “dated”. I’d prefer to hear more of the panelists discuss the genre.
Thank you Lesley! I totally get the 'dated' impression. I think the historical story has great weight, but it is presented through a dated perspective. There has to be a willingness to talk about the victories AND the failures in order for there to be a real analysis of what gospel was and what it has become. I'm disappointed that this was not that moment.
