What an extraordinary woman she is. Until now, I had never been familiar with Teri DeSario nor her music. I must regrettably confess that I have never listened to much Contemporary Christian music and so I am not all that familiar with artists of that genre. My first love is Gospel - OLD Gospel, such as Albertina Walker, James Cleveland, Mahalia Jackson and so on. Interestingly, my greatest aversion to CCM is the staunch alignment of the genre with far right-wing extremist values and ideals which tend to echo the sentiments of white supremacists/ nationalists as well as promote misogynistic, homophobic and xenophobic propaganda. It's a shame the industry continues to ostracize artists like Teri whose message is urgently needed now more than ever
