As I was working on this past week’s feature on women’s music pioneer, Meg Christian, I got stuck on her 1977 collaboration with Sweet Honey in the Rock, “The Road I Took To You.” Sweet Honey’s body of work is one that has been such a companion on the journey—a vital bridge between many musical worlds, but in the context of this past week’s article, especially between gospel and women’s music.
